Summary and Explanation describing what cosmology can be found in the Sumerian Mythology

The name for the Universe is Ki-Ur, found in Enlil and Ninlil. Ki-Ur means Heaven and Earth.

In the Ki-Ur there are "50 Great Gods" (these are possibly all depicted amongst the Stars in the Heaven) and "7 Gods who decide destininies." (found in Enlil and Ninlil)

It is thought that A Great Mountain rose up out of the Great Mother Ocean of Chaos and then split apart into Heaven (KI) and Earth (UR) when Heaven and Earth gave birth to two twin brothers known as Enki and Enlil.
