Broad Based Anti-Viral Herbs in Chinese Medicine

Formulas from “The Institute for Traditional Medicine” in Portland, OR.

If you want a detailed description of formulas you can find them in their formulary guide called,

“A Bag of Pearls.” Since Chinese medicine uses different terminology and classification than Wester Medicine, the actions of these herbs are difficult to explain. However, for infectious disease these herbs may or may not work, and more testing is needed. Yet, it may not be dangerous to test these on oneself, with the help of a Herbalist educator. Some formuals are intended to keep one from getting infected, others are meant to kill or weaken an infection.

Since there is such a large volume of information just in Chinese Medicine alone, as well as Tibetan and Ayurvedic and other natural modalities, this list is just an ongoing sampling as an example of what is out there.
